Use these starting points, then add extra for matching motifs or a fuller drape.

• Kaba and slit: 6 yards — Classic two-piece with modest extra for matching
• Kaftan: 5 yards — Relaxed full-length kaftan
• Shirt: 2.5 yards — Men's or tailored shirt
• Dress: 4 yards — Knee to midi dress, depending on flare
